Consulting Industry Reports

We research and develop annual consulting industry reports to help university career centres learn about key updates, opportunities, and challenges, to help them better prepare their students for consulting recruitment, with a focus on the Canadian market.  Topics include:

  • The consulting industry, in particular how it has evolved during the year, including key consulting firms, key service lines, key industries.
  • The consulting recruiting process, in particular how it has evolved during the year, including key recruitment updates, opportunities, and challenges.
  • The leading best practices, lessons learned, and resources available for career centre career program design (i.e. student-facing programs).
  • The leading best practices, lessons learned, and resources available for career centre corporate relations program design (i.e. employer-facing programs).

Training Solutions

We deliver consulting bootcamps on campus that can significantly improve your students’ understanding of consulting as an industry, consulting as a profession, and the end-to-end consulting recruitment process.  Our two “out of the box” training offerings include:

  1. Consulting 101 Bootcamp.  This is one of the original Consulting Confidential bootcamps that is delivered on-campus, lecture-format followed by an interactive “Q&A” session (approximately 4-5 hours in total). The learning materials have been delivered to over 1,000 students to date, including at the Schulich School of Business and the Smith School of Business.  Please see the Consulting Career Playbook learning modules for more information.
  2. Case 101 Bootcamp.  Similar to the Consulting 101 Bootcamp (above), this is also one of the original Consulting Confidential bootcamps that is delivered on-campus, lecture-format followed by an interactive “Q&A” session (approximately 6-7 hours in total). Consulting Services

We deliver career centre advisory that can significantly improve your centre’s consulting program operations and performance.  Our offerings include:

  • Career Centre Consulting Program Assessment / Benchmarking.  We assess your existing career centre’s consulting-related product and service offerings, benchmarking them against best practice standards, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Career Centre Consulting Program Operations.  We design, develop, deliver, and/or manage your career centre’s consulting-related products and service offerings, and monitor key performance indicators (e.g. recruitment rates).
  • Corporate Relations Assessment / Benchmarking.  We assess your career centre’s existing consulting corporate relations capacities and capabilities, benchmarking them against best practice standards, and identify opportunities for improvement.
